Collymore returned to the club as a Senior Football Strategist in November 2021.

Having played 30 games for Blues in the 1992/93 season and made a huge impact during such a short time frame, he left for a club record initial fee of £2.25 million to Nottingham Forest.

He was prolific for Forest and was named in the PFA Team of the Year in 1993/94, which earned Collymore a move to Liverpool.
