Blues announced the signing of goalkeeper Nick Hayes on a one-month loan on 7 October 2023.

Hayes played in the youth set-ups of Norwich City and Ipswich and has since gone on to play first team football with Hemel Hempstead Town and Salford City, as well as Woking.

The shot stopper returned to Portman Road in January 2022 but is yet to make a first team appearance for the Tractor Boys.
