Arriving from Scottish side Dundee in 2019, Nathan Ralph’s first season at Southend was disrupted after dislocating his shoulder.
Formerly of Peterborough, Yeovil, Newport and Woking, with loans at Kettering Town and Aldershot Town, Ralph won Dundee’s Player of the Year award in 2018/19.
He returned to action following his injury at the start of the 2020/21 season but was again cruelly struck with a long-term injury when he suffered cruciate ligament damage away at Salford City.
Skipper Ralph in now in his fifth season at Roots Hall and has passed 100 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals in all competitions. He has always showed impressive aerial ability and willingness to get forward and deliver good crosses into the box.
