Dackers re-joined the club on a loan until the end of the season on 12 January 2024.

The tall striker scored three goals in six games in a brief loan spell at the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign, and after stints at Woking and Altrincham, returned to Roots Hall 16 months after departing.

His goals came in a 3-2 defeat at Chesterfield, Marcus' Shrimpers debut, a 1-0 win at Wealdstone, and a 1-1 draw with Woking.

The 21-year-old is on loan from Salford City. As a youngster, he was in Manchester City’s academy, moving onto Brighton in 2015, before the transfer to Salford came about in 2021.
