On 8 July 2024, striker Josh Walker signed for the Blues on a two-year deal. 

Joining from League One side Burton Albion, Walker had previously played in the National League with Barnet and Dagenham, appearing 106 times in the division and scoring 32 goals.

In the 2022/23 season, Walker scored a spectacular hat-trick in a 5-4 win for Dagenham over Barnet, including a last-minute winner for his third.
