Callum Powell joined Southend United in January 2022 from Kettering Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old forward signed terms on a two-and-a-half-year deal at Roots Hall.

Formerly of Northampton, Wrexham, Tamworth and Stourbridge, the forward enjoyed a very successful 2021/22 campaign for Kettering in the National League North before joining Blues.

At the time of his departure, he topped the Poppies’ scoring charts with 14 goals in all competitions and seven assists.

In his first eighteen months at Roots Hall, Powell scored 10 league goals in 60 appearances.
